So, I BELIEVE this is a Song Sparrow that was spending some time in our Pine Tree out back. I’m trying to get some practice photographing birds, as it’s hard to get a crisp clear photo. Part of that, is a 300mm lens has a lot of hand shake, so I tried using my new monopod to steady me out. Here are the first shots with it.
Also, I waited and waited for the bird to fly away. I’m not overly happy with the wing location as it obscures his body, but it was the only shot I got with him flying in the frame, so here goes.
Hiding behind the pine needles
He has a mohawk!
Mohawk gone.
And we’re off!
