Western Meadowlark Larking

While I was taking pictures of the Cardinal, at the top of our other pine tree was a Western Meadowlark, and the two birds were literally having a singing competition back and forth. While I wish I had a video of the singing to go with the photos, I alternated between the two taking shots.  I’m still not happy with the shadow placement, and that’s completely my fault.  But I’m still pretty happy with these two photos of the bird singing.

And don’t forget to open wide for the high notes!

I hope everyone has enjoyed the bird photos!
